Sheffield Green Roof Safari - March 17th

26/02/2010 11:12:41

The University of Sheffield’s 2010 ERSC Festival of Social Science is to feature an urban safari of the city’s green and living roofs.

Green roofs are one of the most easily accessible sustainable technologies available. Their positive impact on water management and wildlife in urban centres is becoming more important. Sheffield has the largest number of green and living roofs in the UK, outside London, and this tour aimed at sixth-formers and members of the public will provide an informative and interactive experience of the social science behind them.

This event is free of charge and open to the public. For tickets contact grsafari@thegreenroofcentre.co.uk
