The British Science Association has a new competition where pupils can win a biodiverse green roof for their school.

The green roof is widely recognised for its environmental benefits, as well as much needed habitat for insects and other wildlife. It will also help your students learn about the wildlife around them and why it is so important to protect it.

During National Science and Engineering Week, we are going to give you the chance to win a biodiverse green roof for your school. In order to be in with a chance of winning, we need your help in encouraging the local community to participate in our ‘What on Earth’ competition. It’s simple, the area with the most entries per person averaged over the local population, wins a green roof for a school in that area. (So 25,000 entries in an area with a population of 100,000  people is 0.25 entries per person.)
